Title: Davy(Postponed Until Further Notice)
Post by: Swordwielder on Sat 14/03/2009 21:40:14
My game Davy is going to be a medieval times game in which you play teenage boy Davy. The game won't have fighting( I'm still a very basic scripter) but you will have inventory and hopefully a health and money bar. It will be medium to full length and might have voice acting. I doubt it though. Here are my screenshots:

Is this the same Davy mentioned previously, or a new improved version? I'm guessing the latter, as it appears to have developed a new feature - 'graphics'.

Far be it from another beginner to stifle any creativity of any sort, but it might have been somewhat more practical to have held back till you have something a little more, how do we say, developed?

I do have a slight criticism however. The name Davy smacks somewhat jarringly of modern contraction. If you're seriously aiming for a credible medieval atmosphere, David is an acceptable alternative, as are Dafid, Damien, or Dayton.

Best of luck for future developments.

I guess it's lock o'clock.

Btw, are you identical with Goldie?
Looks like it from this thread: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=37148.0
Not sure why a thirteen year old needs two accounts, one with and one without age.

You're way too sour, in my opinion. Time will tell, I say.

It's okay guys ... technically speaking (s)he met the rules (albeit a VERY limited interpretation of the rules) with the opening post.

Let's leave off comments on the graphics and just let this go!

Thanks :)

Davy is short for David and I will soon add the features for this game. The 3 accounts I have are because of a stupid accident on my part. Its adressed in either the general discussion forum or th AGS related talk and chat. I can't remember which.

Look out AGS awards 2009!

:=

Good luck!

But how that small paragraph counts as a clear outline of the story is beyond me. Perhaps you could flesh it out a bit :)
