Anus & Man productions is aud to prounounce / proud to announce:

Death Valley
A post-apocalyptic, C64 - style text adventure game.

Story
...April 4th, 3011, year 12 of the war. A British lab assistant is abducted by military agents and brought to the resistance's  secret laboratory somewhere in a desert canyon as a living bomb. After he wakes up, he finds himself in a small bunker cell, captured by the enemy soldiers, who haven't seen his... explosives belt. But, what he doesn't know is that they keep one of the most dangerous nuclear bombs in their lab, ready to explode on just a small collision. The world is due to being destroyed just if the explosives are detonating, so it's your task to escape from the now abandoned lab and, more important, DISARM YOUR BELT.

As you may see, I'm still in need of someone who can do those C64-typical chipsound music/effects. PM if you're interested! And of, course: criticism's allowed  ;)

Nice. I'm always happy to play text-based adventures.

Slight nitpick: what do you mean by "the world will be destroyed"? If we were to detonate all the nuclear bombs on the planet right this instant, the Earth would barely feel a thing.
For reference and because it's funny: http://qntm.org/?destroy

As for C64 sounds, maybe there's a way to convert SID files to something usable by AGS? I don't know, really, but it might be a starting point.

Hey, it's Science Fiction, everything's possible!  :P
Also, "nuclear weapon" doesn't mean it's not something with antimatter, as that page says.

I also thought there would... ut I didn't find anything yet. But, anyway, that would mean that I have to steal music again nonetheless  ;)

From my limited knowledge, it kind of does. Referring to a weapon as "nuclear" means it's relying on atoms breaking or fusioning, not on antimatter and matter to go "kaboom".

Anyway, that was just a nitpick, I'm happy with magical highly advanced bombs detroying the Earth.

Hm. Well, I thought nuclear means atomic science in general, like nuclear physics is nearly the same as quantum physics. But, hey, however!

In the first picture when the player tries to look at the sheet it says "I can't see that here", but then it lets the player pick the sheet up. I would advise making a different response for looking at the sheet such as "It's on the bed" or "Man, is it greasy!"
