Not a bug, just an issue with ags and software mode.  I was also forced to use 32 bit mode (even slower) because I wanted sierra style speech to work in the background (and I needed an alpha channel to keep the text gui with a transparent border).  If/when CJ expands text window support I'll set it back to 16-bit and that should speed it up a bit.  Just bear in mind this isn't a bug.

I have corrected a few bugs and upped a slightly newer demo.  There was a condition where Cotton's talk animation would show his actual sprite, etc.  (this was a repost of the above for some reason, so I changed it into something useful).

Awesome, your game is (still) very impressive.

One thing made me kinda wonder though: The main character appears to be physically quite strong, but whenever this Childs confronts him, he is a complete... coward. I mean, Childs looks quite a bit weaker to me than the player does. Is this only me or does it maybe have something to do with the story?

Noah really isn't physically powerful.  Being kept in a strait jacket and drugged for long periods of time has sapped alot of his 'inner' strength.  All he has left is the will to rediscover his identity.  Childs, on the other hand...

enjoys beating patients, as you may have caught from the conversation the orderly was having with Doctor Fuchs in the stealth hall puzzle.  He's not a very nice guy.

Glad you're enjoying it.

Incredible game, and graphics, I just wish I had more time to play the demo(i leave for work in just a couple minutes)  The only thing I have to say that isn't that big--It might just be me--the file text color on the Save/Load is abit to dark and virtually unreadible, at elast on my monitor. (I'm running it @ 640X400 fullscreen).  The dark red just bends into the black too much.

Hmm..I'll see what I can do about it, Ed.  I was originally just going to do screenshots but the gui took up too much screen space for the images to be recognizable from each other.  Thanks for the feedback!

Hey, finished the demo, and I must say very nice.  I did run into a little hitch though.  Durring the little banter about Childs between Burke and Hare, If you leave the room durring it, their speech box remains there.  Just a heads up incase it was missed.

Thanks Ed.  This occurs if I happen to forget setting a certain room variable that tracks whether background speech should be active or not.
