I am quite ashamed to bring this up, but the curiosity is getting the better of me -

Will there be any reference to Balder's Gate? (as in Baldur's Gate - I'm sure you knew what I meant, of course)

Don't worry about us quitting, we've hit the plateaus, Pijin's gone through weird carpal tunnel pains and exhaustion, and I even moved into a new apartment halfway on, and we still get right back on the horse! Actually, with all the great responses, we're currently brainstorming expanding the game even a bit further.

I hadn't thought of Baldur's Gate,  maybe I can work in a joke somewhere.

Whoops, sorry I missed your question...I didn't notice about the dragon's claw until you said.   Lemme ask the Art God about that... 

And woot!  We've come up with some great ideas to expand the game further, we've already added several more rooms and characters and puzzles that all fit smoothly with (and help develop!) the original plot, and make it even more fun.  Cheers!

Absolutely BRILLIANT concept. I noticed the litttle AGI-esque evolution thing. Will there be anything in the game where Balder has a flashback, and mentions his days back in "the AGI age" or "text adventures" or anything like that? It would be a fantastic way to break the fourth wall.
Anyway, I'll definitely look forward to playing this.

There will be some in-jokes like that, like a framed picture of Balder and Mabel when they first met, and the picture is in AGI graphics.

A very clever idea, and those screenshots blew me away. Being able to create art like that in MSPaint is amazing enough, but using only a mouse? Unbelievable.

(Potentially stupid question: is Balder named after the Nordic god Balder?)

Truly fantastic.  That's an excellent style of artwork -- the ole' minimal-palette mouse-driven pixelly artstyle.  Always makes me warm and fuzzy inside  .  Usually people don't go through the trouble of using it with such high resolution though!!  That's great.

Akril15:  Nah, there are no stupid questions.  Like most of my ideas, I came up with it in the shower (or the bathroom...the original idea was in the shower, but a lot of brainstorming happens in the bathroom when I get writer's block...something about walking into bathrooms just spontaneously inspires me).  I just thought up the name Balder, then realized it sounded even funnier because he was bald.  Then I went "Waaait...that name sounds familiar somehow...I better look it up on Google."  I didn't honestly know about the god until after that, but I think it just lends to the mythic ethos of the whole schmear.
