Hello,
Together with friend we develop sci-fi adventure 2D game Fatal Decision.
We made a small site (http://wintgames.com/index-eng.html), where you can look up different interesting information about the game, and now let me tell you the basics.
Game is classic 2d adventure, made in pixel art style. The plot is the following.
Astronavigator of the science exploration vessel "Epos" exits the cryotic sleep to find out that everybody from the crew is dead and the space ship is somewhere in the deserted outskirts of universe. Alone versus endless space. No chances to survive.
That is all information about plot for now, because as it is supposed the player has to understand the situation himself by examining the ship and reading diaries of crew members.
Now what is special about the game.
Depressive atmosphere of hopelessness and despair
We are planning to create intensive atmosphere of loneliness in endless space with minimal chances to be saved. Emotions of protagonist, his diary and step by step madness of him because of the conditions.
Free movement through the whole ship
Besides some places which you can not reach because of a number of events which occurred on the ship, player is free to wander around ship, explore it, find and different items etc It is not a sandbox of Crysis level of course, but the ship with everything it has is at your disposal: you can try to escape or walk around opening closets.
Action-scenes with immediate decision making
To make gameplay diversified action scenes will be introduced in which you should quickly decide what to do so that something bad does not happen.
Several approaches to solving of puzzles
Some puzzles appearing in the course of the game might be solved by different means. To reasonable extent.
More than 60 hand drawn locations
Multiple endings
As the atmosphere on the ship is harsh and it is not easy to hold till the end, finally you'll have to make a choice.
Concerning gameplay as I have already told this is classic adventure with point clicking, inventory, solving puzzles and using items. But there won't be hundreds of items to be combined in a crazy way, all puzzles are based strictly on life logic. Eventually there will be no clear stated tasks to be solved immediately, you will have to decide what to do next on your own.
I didn't speak about everything in order not to spoil, the polt and the ship are not as simple as it seems.

"Depressive atmosphere of hopelessness and despair"
Put that on the box and this thing will sell! ;)
But seriously, this looks really intresting! Good luck!
I like the ordered dithering of your graphics. Gives the game a cool 80s touch. Which editor do you use for the graphics? I use the ASEprite by Allegro.

I was also going to give the dithering my thumbs up. Especially the title image has a lot of style.

This is an astronavigator â€" Arthur Wells.
That is a really cool game concept. I like the "decide your path, rather than guess anothers decision"-way of thinking.
Is there a way to keep track of your progress?
