Hello people:
This is my first attemp to make an AGS game. This is not a conventional adventure game, its a gamebook with choices, RPG elements and monster fights:

You can play the demo here:

This is my first game, so any feedback is very wellcome
Thanks a lot!!
Could we have larger screenshots, please?
As for the demo proper, looks quite interesting from the little I saw.

Done :) Im still new at this, but i managed to upload bigger screenshots. Thank you Sslaxx
I'm aware this isn't meant to be a conventional "adventure" game, but will there be any means of saving or loading your game?

I ve tried to stick to the old gamebooks system, so there is no chance to save your game, that d be cheating but im planning to do a bookmark system in the full version so you can save your game at some parts. Thanks a lot for your feedback Sslax :)
Does anyone who has played this game has any tip or recomendation for improving it? Thank you very much
Hi Rolando, congratulations on your first game!
I enjoyed the atmosphere of your game, the music helped here. I used to play/read rpg books when I was a young kid and your game reminded me of it in a good way.
There's also a feeling of rogue rpgs in it. A map would do wonders to the game.
I'd have liked to be able to own a inventory with potions, weapons and that sort of things.
I always did 17 damage, is that a fixed hit because we're using a knife? You should come up with a different formula.
Get somebody to help you with English, I found a lot of typos.
I think you are in the right path and I really enjoyed your short demo.
Good luck with it!
I gave it a try and it really plays exactly like the old books, well done.
The only suggestion I have so far: the main font is a bit hard on the eyes. It uses pixels that are two or three times the size of the actual pixels, and I think a standard serif font like one used in an actual book would look way better.
There's a typo in "Strenght".
But the game looks really good and stylish!
Thank you a lot people for your suggestions and typo warnings. I like the inventory/map/weapon choosing concepts.
Im trying hard also for improving my english for the game texts and the forum posts too :P
Thank you very much for your help

I definitly have to try different fonts, i dont want the game to be hard to read, maybe i should let the user choose the font, if that's possbile. Thanks a lot Krhis :)
An RPG! Great nonconventional way to use the AGS system! I loved the Bard's Tale series back in the 80s and that's what came to mind when I played this demo. I like that there's an element of luck and rolling the dice - definitely something different.
I don't know what you're planning for the final release but I agree that there should be an inventory of weapons and potions, armour, a way to level up with experience (that's the best part of an RPG) which allows you to take on stronger monsters and use better weapons and so on. I also noticed that you can't go back once you've moved from a room. I'm not sure if that's part of the style you're trying to achieve.
Anyway, good luck and I'm looking forward to the completed game

Great Game! I play book rpgs on my kindle all the time, and this is just like those. Keep up the good work, I can't wait til it's done.
