Okay, I'll collect all my courage now and make finally a public announcement.
story
Big city. 17-year old boy.
Friends. Cars. Street race. Street gangs.
Police.
This all could lead to an adventure.
Street gang, which goes under name "MIR" (Mir stands for "peace" and "world" in Russian language) has tricked local police for years. As Mayor applies more and more pressure to local Police Chief, yet the gang stays uncatchable, situation becomes critical for Chief. Unfortuntely, Henri gets into trouble with the law and becomes a pawn in Chief's grand plan to nail the gang and hide his incompetence....
I don't want to give too much away, since I don't have that much anyway. Stories are my weak side... :(
Well, for some show, Henri features:

Drama!

Sex!
Violence!

Tricky puzzles!
EDIT: 17th November 2007
I gladly present you this new screen from (hopefully) final portion of the game:
Note that ingame screen might be a bit different, I haven't drawn all interactable objects yet.
EDIT: 25th November 2007
I've chosen two people to help me a bit on puzzles and story. Hopefully, this will speed things a bit up.
EDIT: 3rd December 2007
Good news!
By teaming up with Aussie for ideas, we managed to put together a bit shorter ending and lots of polish, also, managed to straight out alot of the gameplay. It is time to announce that there's very little or none of loose ends on Henri project: it will be finished and this time I know exactly how! Earlier, whole thing was stopped behind not knowing, how it will exactly end, which caused project to be in WIP so long.
Though I have to draw another background (or two), and redo handful of puzzles/dialogs, it will be done and should reach beta in next few months.
Yay! :D
EDIT: 3rd December again
G, another helper on story and puzzles bit also posted his ideas. While they were very different from Aussies, there was also some great suggestions, strengthening the plot. It will take some time for me to combine best of their suggestions and even after this, I must actually put them into game. But pace is quick and I hope I'll get this done soon.
That game sounds interesting, and the graphics are truly awesome. Hope you finish this soon!
And you done all your graphics in art gem?
Looks and sounds great. What more can I say? Your style is incredible.
Graphics are top-notch, I hope the story will be as good as the visual impression is...
If not, I'll still play it just to see all those great sprites, rooms and animations...
This could be a big one!

And you done all your graphics in art gem?
Artgem and MSPaint.
Your artwork is amazing. Not that it means anything...but I commend you on an excellent performance. Especially seeing as you're using ArtGem and Paint. I haven't really ever used AG, but I find Paint hard to work with. It doesn't have a lot of the tools I enjoy...Layers...Lasso tool...Transparency. I really do love my brother for getting that ripped copy of Photoshop 7.0 from my school. And I would LOVE to see a playable demo soon. I expect great things from you InCreator.
This looks great InCreator. The graphics are fantastic. I'm very excited about this.
Thanks for encouraging replies.
But there will be no demo, It will be ready when it's ready and only demo-like thing is what beta testers get for testing.
An untested game, that is. Beta testers come most likely from here, I hope there's AGSers who want to help me on this (and not just get hands on game first ;)).
Also, I definetly need a proofreader once i get whole coding done.
English (originally) and Estonian versions are sure thing, but there's also room for translations... especially since I have to include ä, ö, ü and õ letters to the font for Estonian one. Eh, but that's a dream, gotta finish a game first.
Just wanted to chime in - faaaantastic art! This is on my list of games I'm looking forward to ^_^
Yeah, InC, your artwork has always been amazing, and I'm looking forward to this game a lot! Looks and sounds really cool.
Bt
I could BETA test. As long as I don't have to work on a schedule. I mean, I'm willing to help now, but I can't make promises about what my schedule will be later.
Looks great, of course. I admire your dedication to making it a quality product.
Is it a comedy? The title sounds pretty irreverent, but the graphics and plot indicate otherwise. I recommend losing the "Henri 6:" part of the title - since we haven't seen parts 1-5...
I'd love to beta test - your English is excellent but occasionally somewhat unusual :)

for getting that ripped copy of Photoshop 7.0 from my school
Probably shouldn't be advocating piracy...
Well, Henri games were first ones I ever made with AGS, just joking about a good friend of mine... I started from AGS version 2.23... DOS, graphical editors and other funny ancient AGS stuff.
So yes, It's a comedy, though I'm releasing it worldwide (first in henri series) and I'm not sure what world finds funny... :P
Unfortunately, only 3rd part went public and was recognizable as "game", since others were more like trying-new-engine-out stuff.
Also, it was entirely in Estonian language and since I've been trying to master my drawing style since, I'd be happier if none of AGSers ever see how painfully far I was in 2001... :)
The game was quite popular in Estonia, actually, and first estonian point'n'click adventure game at all.
Number 6 also means that this is my sixth effort to complete a whole adventure game by my own (Trippin'! and other tries were less or more teamwork), but yes, that sounds reasonable and I lose the number (which means redrawing title screen, ouch!)
About music and testing: There's nothing to test yet! And musician... well, I definetly won't ask anyone to do any work unless I'm totally, 100% positive that it won't be a waste and game WILL be completed. I just pointed out that I will need some people in future. But "future" is all I can say yet.
Because... every bg I draw, every animation I make, injects me wish and hope to continue the project, make it even better, story even more interesting and so on. While I ceased "Trippin'" because it didn't seem perfect enough for me, Henri seems to grow bigger and bigger for same cause. That's good, but I must force myself to finish the game at some point.
Looks great, Gonna try it out as soon as I see it released!
I love the Violence and Drama backgrounds! The other two are great too! I just like these two better. :) Hope it all goes well for you, if you ever change your opinion about demos, uhm...yeah...whatever. As I said, Hope it all goes well for you. :D Have fun making it! Oh and that electricy thing in Drama (I don't know what It's called, but you put cables and stuff in.) looks like the mask from Scream....Spookah!
Looks like a promising game! :o Great graphics and an original idea.
I would like to help you with the music, I can compose anything from metal to classic.
PM me if you're interested.
Maybe I can also give you a few nice ideas for add to the story.
Good luck with your game. ;)
It looks really good!
I like the graphic of this game.
I can't wait any longer to get this game.
I like your screenshots, I find they match the story's mood. Can't wait to play it.
Looks EXCELLENT! - what's really neat is that both the characters and the backgrounds have personality.Ã, The style and mood of the game is very clear - and I love it!Ã, 8)
Cruddish custard, that looks splendid! Like IceMan said, the graphics have personality and a one of a kind-style. Great stuff!
I just wanted to bring your game back on the top of games in production list
do a great job and the great job will be done by you

Please do not do that again.
If you want to bump a thread:
1) make sure it's not more than 1 month since the last post in the thread and
2) at the very least, make a comment on the game.
If, "do a great job and the great job will be done by you", is some kind of a comment on the game; you might want to clarify what it means exactly.

wow, looks amazing! really great backgrounds!
I'm really looking forward to this coming out. Everything looks beautiful! The story also interests me.
My god cheese stop it, read the rules before you post in every thread possible!
It's simply states: Do not dig up old threads, like what you are doing now.
[turns off moderator mode]
P.S. to keep it on topic and not break any rules myself,
I really like the looks of this increator, hope it's still in production.

You bump a thread (granted it's not quite a month old, but close enough) with a post (about 4 from the bottom) which says:

Wonders never cease ...
I had seen this before, and since its been brought back up, I just wanted to let you know thats this looks cool as hell. Definately a look forword-to-er....
The game IS still in production, though progresses awfully slowly lately. I still haven't buried idea to get it done before christmas...
... to make the annoyance Darth gets by people bumping this thread something worth too :)
I think I'll wait another 25 days before I repost on this one here. Hehe, it's fun this way.
Really I'm looking forward to this one.
So am I.
I love increator's backgrounds.
Hi InCreator,
Remember me? I think you do ;).
How is the game doing? You haven't posted much about it lately, and i really want to see it :). Is it still in production or have you dropped it? I hope your still working on it.
Regards,
Remco
Still working. Pace is awfully down, since i have very little time due school and work all the time.
I think that i won't be able to finish it for christmas.
Yess finaly!!
i hope, this game gets finished not like 4-th tat was ruined by virus and 5-th that just wasnt complete.
it was like almost 2 years, and i heard nothing from henri games.
go on InCreator, ur the best
i've not seen this before!
I like the lighting, it really gives the game some atmosphere!
Yeah, the good old InCreator's graphics... I just can't wait until you finish it!
Anyway, is it gonna be freeware (not like Henri 4: pasunasse on paha saada was supposed to be)?
What's a pasunasse? I'm Finnish so I understand 'on paha saada', but I don't know what that pasunasse is. Sounds like something to do with your face. The gasmask in the army was called 'nasse'.
"pasunasse saada" means like to be punched to the face or something like that :)
well, I was just wondering on the progress of this game. I haven't been able to find any info on it anywhere. BTW, It looks sweeeeet!
Check the first post, maybe? ;)
The thread is updated again, see first post.
InCreator,
Thank you for the update.
It might be best having some beta works to be done.
If that sound as a start, you can always PM me.
For your infomation, I've some intense beta works on "Prodical", I'm sure you are familiar with it.

There's some known hardcore bugs I have to sweep out before releasing anything to betatest. Problem relies in extremely messy scripts, so it's a bit complicated...
I loved Prodigal and atleast dream about reaching same quality, and I won't forget you, splat44, if the testing starts.
Increator do what you want to do because no matter to all...
...Henri is and will be one of the greatest AGS games ever !
one thing: try to make a legend and you will become one !
cheers
Hi InCreator,
That's awesome news, congratulations. It's always great to see quality stuff completed.
I agree with splat44, don't rush it. Make it the best you can before release. We have been waiting on this for nearly a year, so we can wait another month.
I'm also up for beta-ing if you need it. My credentials are Cirque de Zale and Frank the Farmhand 2, to name a couple.
This is indeed great news, InCreator!
I'm very pleased that the game I'm eagerly looking forward to playing is progressing well.

There's few critical things I STILL haven't done yet, such as GUI (I might try making something different from Sierra-style)
As a big antagonist of Sierra-style GUIs I highly encourage you to do just that! There are many interfaces that are way better (The Dig, Teen Agent, Goblins 2/3, DOTT, Return To Zork)
Take your time, so that the puzzles stand up to the graphics!
All the best
oh yes, finaly its on home straight. when i waw aht "update on 20thmay" my heart started bumping faster.
my fingers are twiching already to play it. because i still have memoryes of henry 3 that had 1337speak on graphics ahead its time(in my opinion).it was so long ago, like 4 years or more.... ah, good old times.
From the graphics this look like a great game, looking forward to the release. Any date set yet? ???
indeed : don't drink and drive... or you might spill a glass...
anyway this looks very fun, looking forward too it :)
Well we know old threads shouldn't be bumped like this to say small things, but is great to see it happens cause we usually wonder what's going on with such great games in production like this one xD
Of course that's if you're not a moderator.
☺
I like the original story concept and the graphics look fantastic!!!
Goodluck increator, it's looking like award-quality game easily :)
Thanks.
To be honest, I haven't drawn a pixel for Henri since the summer started.
Then again, I have a great set of music done.
Well, I'm sure i'll bring this lifetime project to finish during those dark, cold winter nights.
Just not sure when. School and work at the same time leaves me with very little of spare time.
I haven't looked at this thread in more than a year. I completely don't remember those previous two posts (on the first page) at all. But this game does sound quite promising. And I'm still willing to help you out with beta testing...whenever time comes. Just drop me an email whenever you feel you're ready. ;)
SO hows the production going InCreator, love the new AV.
Cheers,
Afflict.
Afflict ... for shame.
Inc - let me know when you want to update this thread and I'll unlock it for you.
Unlocked by request! Good to know you're still working on this!
I've updated the thread again and put help request into first post.
Amazing graphics! I can't wait to see it finished :)
Yeah, same here. :D
--Erwin
Hehe yeah shame on me Darth... my bad. I just did a search for the thread. Will keep that in mind in future though :)
The games production is looking awesome, I have a little free time here and there let me know if you need more help or something.
Look great.. looking forward to playing this..
