hey everyone! I'm Head_Banger and I've been working on a game called The Unknown. Though I'm still not sure if I should call it that :-\ but once I've gotten through half way with the game I'll decide if it's good enough.

Sorry if my English is a bit rusty, but I'm sure the auto-speller would fix that for me. (laugh)

Bellow is some screenshots of the Game.

The story is about a man named Andrew Morpheus. who has been stuck in a life pod for several years, not knowing what happened in his absence he awakes to a whole new world. where earth has been used to its limits. And life is at the brink of Extinction! Though our hero can't remember anything of his previous life! it's up to him to save the world! what will he do? how will he do it? only way is to travel to the sky city! and find the last plant alive! and "reboot" the circle of life. So Join our Hero in his Quest to Save Earth! Explore The Wastelands for clues, and Uncover his Dark past...

ABOVE: Is the starting area, I'm not very good at drawing but I try my best!

Changed my frames to a more reasonable amount of images. :) Thanks Sunny Penguin

I also made a custom inventory that is fast to use. and visually appealing, to me that is. I Posted a picture of it bellow.

Play as his spirit to get yourself out of some, tough situations

Here is a flash back scene

This is my first ever made AGS game so it won't be perfect.

So you read the rules, then decided to ignore them anyway?

When you have the second screenshot let me know and I'll unlock the thread.

Second screenshot added.

The screenshots look quite interesting, nothing quite like an apocalyptic space/Sci-Fi adventure.

I'd reconsider the  30-40 frames walkcycle - that's an awful lot of frames! A smooth walkcycle can be created just as easily with 8-10 frames. Just food for thought.

Quote"reboot" the circle of life.

If you're not sure about using 'The Unknown' for the title, why not consider 'Reboot'? Sounds pretty cool.

I'd second Sunny Penguin's advice about the animations. You're creating more work for yourself. If you get the art right, and implement it well, you can get away with crazy few frames. Look at something like To The Moon. Its walkcycles are literally three frames but the characters exude so much. The background art is really interesting though. Best of luck!

Reboot doesn't sound very bad now that you mentioned it. (nod)

Yes, it is awful lot of frames, yet I use a animation program to help me, although it does give me a gliding affect... I think you're right, I'm going to reduce the frames. Should also reduce file size.

Thanks for telling me. :)

Added a few more things, will update soon.

Due to some minor problems and upgrading to windows 8 I have lost some data and unfortunately it was this game's Data :~( although all my images and scripts were still there. I did loose my already made characters, rooms, inventory, sprites, Gui's and Dialogues. But after some over time I'am  back up to date and continuing the game. I will add screenshots in a few days.
