Title: Knights of the cross: The Game

I know I probably post it agaiinst the rule (because I'm just starting it), but this game will be sooo great! It's noot adventure game after all, but I'm doing it in AGS. It's a mix of "normal" adventure game, Zelda, maybe Diablo 2?, Mortal Kombat(and element fom Jagged Alliance). Sounds weird?

The view is like in Zelda (but gameplay bit like in Diablo). When you enter city or camp or anything else game turns into adventuure-style.

Of course your character will gain levels like in (almost) every RPG(There will be 8 skills). You can learn some special moves (combinations).

There will be also day-nigth cycle, three currencies, unlocking new areas, biiig world, possibility of riding on horse (charge!!!), five types of weapon (for both melee and distand combat [I don't know if I wrote it right - I mean swords is one type of weapon, but there will be many different swords]), shields (which can broke) and all stuff in Medieval age.

You will fight bit like in Indiana Jones and a fate of atlantis(but sideview will be only in knight duels [Duels on horses will be more complex- nearest connection is defender of the crown]) and you will learn some stroke combinations.

Story is based on book "Knights of The Cross" (yuck!) which I had to read in school. First idea for making game was that, it will be a parody, but now it's a serious project.

Ah yes, Jagged Alliance element! Mercenaries(six types) want pay for every day.
This is based on historical book, so there willl be no magic! :-(

And one more detail - all written texts in game (eg. signs) will be in it's counry real language (there will be translation lower)

I know, but I like AGS ;D. And saying really, there will be more adventure parts than you can deducate from my post.
And second thing is that I don't like turn-based RPG.
Just think it's normal adventure with too much fighting sequences ;D.

And on the second thought, what problem is with all those stats?!!Just changes this you have to less times press attack keys. ;).

And it would be a little shame if you couldn't fight in such battle as Grunwald (Ha, ha!!! No one knows what battle it is ;)!!!).

Hmm... sounds cool but maybe your trying to go a little too far. Thats alot of script time and some screenshots would be nice. If you pull this off I will be downloading this. Good luck!

Yo, that sounds epic (also in scripting)... I hope you'll manage to do it all like you want... I'm very curious... ;)

I'm scared of scripting too, but after thinking it will be simple. Because of game lenght (i want to add some quest "out of book) I will probably do it very long (yikes! Maybe even a year). At moment i'm drawing level projects, thinking of puzzles in adventure part and I force my friend to make some graphic.

I think of making a Demo version (menu and tutorial - just to show game abilities).

Problems at the moment are:
controls - too many keys to give comfort Gameplay (out of citiec of course, inside will be normal adventure games control)
music-I have no-one to make it
Well, more bout it on technicals forums.

And I promise to inform about progress in making

Thanks Peter, I'll tell you what i want when I need. And time permission... If Pleurghburg:Dark Ages was done by a year, this game will be i production in three ;D(especially with such author like me). But don't worry people, with some luck maybe demo will be released in 2-3 months.

Yeah, a pure historic medieval game could be really great!
Take your time, man... and inform us about the progress and show some pics soon...? ;D
