Title: KOR remake
Post by: viktor on Sat 04/06/2005 16:25:25
hello every one :D. Remember me. I've been away for a while now. A lot of pepole keep mailing me how they want to play the king of rock game (that got lost somewhere on my computer and I have failed to retrieve it  :'( ) But it's OK. I'm planing a remake. And not just any remake. I've decided to give it better graphics, sound and everything. Maybee I'll even make it longer (not certain yet, but it will definetly be made at least to the point as the original). I've already made the brian remake (notice the diference in the hair and clothing?). I also decided to go with a diferent shading stile in this game. Or beter yet i decided to go with hardly any shading  :P

For those of you who didn't play the original. You are brian. A guy who loves rock nad roll. You read an add in the paper about a Batlle of the Bands competition. Naturaly you want to join. But you don't have a band...

Hey Viktor welcome back!

I love the new art ... it's good to know you're working on this again.

The characters (especially in the second screenshot) could use a little more contrast ... he kind of gets lost in there (just the face area).

The screenshots have a ton of style!  Keep up the good work!

Edit - topic unlocked.  I added your second screenshot in for you!

well if anyone wishes to play the original. Here it is:

But back in those days I was a n00b here and didn't know much about compputer art programs so the graphics are terible. And that's probably the main reason I'm making a remake...

I downloaded the old version and realized that I had played it already a long time ago. I didn't play it for long though, didn't hold my interest.
But I hope that your remake will do, it shows promises. And yes, the graphics are much better. Good luck!
