Best pitch video since "Double Fine Production's Tim Schafer's Double Fine Adventure". Simply brilliant. :)

Ghost

Best of luck with that Kickstarter, Ali, that game really deserves it. And if you make it way beyond the goal, shoes for your lady!  ;-D

Jared

Terrific that this is on it's way - I've been waiting a while and I think Nelly is still my favourite AGS game that I've played. Backed last night. (Kicktraq says you're looking good but then you probably realised that)

awakening

Played and adored Nelly I, this looks gorgeous. Can't wait :)

Mind. Blown.  8-0

I'll sign up to Kickstarter and drop a few squid on this! I'll be all "No rewards for me! I'm in it purely for the karma!"...and cool and stuff. Yeah.

...

All cool...and stuff. :(

Pledged!  (sounds like something you do to polish a table, but I think I've given you money instead)

I'm in, just have to sit and wait until 2014....
Oh wait, I've got a game to work on!

Ali

Thanks for the comments and pledges!

We've got some nice write ups, including a lovely one from Rock Paper Shotgun. For anyone who's interested, I recently added an update with a mini-video:

Update #1!

Ali

Today is the real-life Nelly's birthday! So if you've been waiting for an opportunity to share this campaign with your wealthy Uncle - this might be it!

Nelly's Birthday Update!

The campaign looks healthy, but I'm not going to start buying monocles and top hats (yet). I must say, I didn't expect to be competing with all my childhood heroes in the form of Armikrok, Massive Chalice and Vampyre Story!

Ha ha, yeah wth is with all the adventure game kickstarters, plus there's bundles with adventure games as well?! But still, good luck.

Oh, and happy brithday to RL Nelly.
I don't want the world, I just want your half

Eric

Indeed! Happy birthday to Nelly!

I was just saying the other day that there should be an external site that was a schedule of forthcoming Kickstarters. It would be easier to plan both your budget as a backer, and release dates as a campaign runner.

Ben X

Halfway through, well done Ali!

I'd enjoy reading a budget breakdown, I found it really interesting when DFA did that. I haven't noticed one anywhere, will you be revealing this at some point, outside of the Captain's Log?

Wow! Simply brilliant! This will be awesome. Looking forward to it. Instantly backed.

Looks absolutely great! I really love the BG artwork in this game... very original and pretty. Also, love how you kept the look/style of the first game, while changing it up enough to make it look better and distinguish the two. I surely need to buy/play this game. Great job mate! Though I have been sort of "lurking" the forum for a while (namely when something goes wrong w/ AGS and I need help) I had never made an account on the forum... so this is my first post... In-case your wondering, "who the hell is this guy?"

Anyway, keep it up man... great stuff indeed.

cheers

Thanks again for the nice comments and pledges!

I thought you might be interested in The Latest Update which is an illustrated tour of the game's locations. Ben - we'll go into more detail about budget breakdown when (and if) stretch goals come into play. In general though, we're going for the bare minimum to finish the game.

We've recently had some twitter support from Revolution Software (Broken Sword), Ragnar Tornquist (Dreamfall) and Duncan Jones (Director of Moon and Source Code) as well as several generous AGSers. Which is lovely, thanks!

Cool, thanks Ali.

I'm impressed by all the gaming legends, but getting some Duncan Jones attention is really cool! Did you tell him his dad was great in The Nomad Soul?
