Adventure Game Studio

Hi!

A few years ago I published here my first adventure game called "The Castle". It was inspired by Maniac Mansion.

Now I want to announce my second project that I'm still working on. It's a new adventure called "The Legend of Skye."

It will be a classic point & click adventure, with the 9 verb system, inventory and lots of humorous dialogues.

It will be available soon on Steam, GOG and itch.io!

Looking good! Some nice nods to adventure game history here - the street from Monkey Island, of course. And I'm not quite sure of this one, but the round windows in the underground cottage reminds me of some old The Hobbit game.

Well, the medieval street is inspired by real images found on the web. But it really also resembles the street on Meleé Island because of the arch in the background.

Looks really good. The mushroom seller made me laugh and it looks beautiful. Keeping an eye on this one!

I'm glad you liked the demo! I'm getting positive feedback from people. On April 2nd I will release the full game!

Just finished the demo, was really nice, looks and feels a lot like Loom.
So no pineapple on Pizza :D
One puzzle, that has already been mentionend on Steam was a bit weird, there should be a hint, to make it a bit more clearer (I tried to avoid spoilers)
Played it in german, and there are some, not much typos and gramma errors. If you want, I can take a look at the german translation, but I think you already have some proof readers.
All in all, great start to a very nice game, and I hope the finished product will be as nice as the demo.

About some typos errors in the German translation... there shouldn't be many in the game. In fact it was already checked... but maybe we could look at it again. Now there are some people who are playing the full german version, I'll wait to see what they tell me.

About the naked druid puzzle you mention, I have to say that I've already added 3 important improvements that help to solve it: (I guess you've played the last version of the demo that is on Steam)

- I added more contrast in the drawing of the wooden figures to make them more distinguishable.
- I added a noise when the druid moves the figurines while talking. It is easier to realize that he has moved the figures.
- When Skye looks at the wooden figures she tells you that some are pointing to the right and some to the left.

If you liked the demo you will really enjoy the full game. In fact the demo is nothing!  (laugh)

Indeed, I played the Steam demo. I think with that added, the puzzle should be easier to solve.

Indeed, I think it has more of Simon the Sorcerer and The Secret of Monkey Island than Loom. But they are all too good to compare.

I'm currently playing the demo on my Odin2 and I can confirm the (nostalgic) Simon Sorcerer and Monkey Island vibes.

I saw one of the battle scenes--will there be swordfight insults in this game?  (laugh)

Although I warn that at some point in the game, it could be difficult to solve some puzzles because of the size of the screen.

There is a short combat... but there are no insults. :D
