Title: NuCleUs - A Puzzle Game From Fluke Artist Studios-Website now up!
Post by: PsychicHeart on Tue 07/11/2006 05:02:58
Howdy.
-------------------
HISTORY
-------------------
Back last year, I began a project, mainly just to screw with the software and produce a playable tech demo. Unfortunately, it didn't go too well. There were bugs, the graphics were god-awful, and the audio sounded like i had recorded three rambling mental patients and clumped it together.
However, with much thought and the resistance of procrastination, i decided it was time to revive this bug-covered, smudged together, audio-screeching goliath.

-------------------
STORY
------------------
The year is 2821, and the main form of entertainment is Pod Rolling. Pod Rolling encompasses contestants rolling into Metroid Prime-like balls, and roll around the board, collecting items, battling evil-doers, and eventually getting to the exit zone.
You are one of these contestants, and the greatest tournament ever has just begun.
It will take guts, tactics and a smooth key-finger to win, but the prize will be greater than anything you could imagine.

SCREENIES
-----------------

After a sorely needed revamp of the hideous graphics, i present, for your viewing pleasure, NuCleUs screenshots! Hooray and such!

OMG!

I'm honoured! :D

Fluke, any idea on the date of completition because it actually looks that you will make it this time and release the game.

Also it looks like a clever one, so well done! :D

To quote, Nikolas, OMG, I'm honoured!!!!111 And who wouldn't be, indeed!

Anyway, what happened to your previous projects? The one with the cars and um, what was the other one you were developing simultaneously? I wish you luck with this game, although I have my doubts whether it will see the light of day.

Ah, good question!
I've worked out a system of "Codes" which are based on how you have constructed the map. You can then share said codes via the game's online forums. For example, Player 1 posts his code on the forum's "Code" section, and Player 2 reads the code, inserts it into the game's code-reader and, voila, Player 2 can play Player 1's map. It's taken me a little while to work out the bits and bots of this system, but after running a short test, I'm proud to say it works perfectly. Hooray, and such!
Cheers,
Fluke.
BTW: Thanks for all the support guys, it's appreciatedÃ,  :)
