A while back I made a Half-Life 2 mod in three days, and Masked is an attempt to set myself another similar project, albeit giving myself a week this time around. All in my spare time, granted. I decided upon a room escape game, primarily because there are bloody thousands of the things and yet so few of them attempt to do anything interesting with the format. Masked is a short game, but it's infused with a rich and sinister story that you uncover as you progress through a sequence of light puzzles. It should be available by the end of the week. (Don't hold me to that.)

We'll expect to see this released in a week then huh? ;)
Looks interesting, and I hope you manage to bring something new to the room escape idea. Is it one room that you can view from 4 directions?
So far the room looks a bit barren and the feel of the imagery just gives me the "hey I just saw a SAW movie and decided to make a copycat game" -feel. Double that if the face in the picture is a TV screen and not a poster / painting. But then again I've always liked the idea of room escape games, so fire away, I'll play it!
I *think* you'll find it different enough from SAW. :)
Surprise, surprise: this won't be finished by the end of the week.
However, all the artwork and dialogue are complete, and I've just three screens to code up.
It'd easily be finishable tomorrow, except I'm away from tomorrow 'til Monday. But then I will finish it.
Man. This really is stretching out longer than intended.
Work, work, ill, work, work, busy with other stuff, work, work, work. Current best guess: next week some time.
I should be Valve.
It's finished. I think. Gonna grab some food, play through a few more times, make sure all the loose ends are tied.
Crikey.
