A small sleepy town somewhere in the USA. A man named Dominic is an ordinary road construction worker, happy with life just the way it is. On a beautiful summer day everything changes. He gets fired.
But Dominic is no quitter. Instead of getting into depression and drowning his problems into alcohol, he starts fighting to get his beloved job back. With a little help from his friends, Dom gets into fantastic adventures filled with drama and action.

There is no certain release date yet.
Progress:
The game can roughly be divided into 3 parts. The first one is almost complete. If things go well, I might release a demo soon.
Niiiice graphics - particularly that outdoors shot!
nice nice nice, cute low res. Do i recognise that bar bg from somewhere?
Hey - this looks nice and very promising to me!
I'll try the demo for sure.
Thanks!

I posted the bar bg on the CL a while ago.
Great work man, your color transitions are perfect and consistent, and I don't even see a dithering pattern. I wish I could draw like this.
Looks great, and I like the idea of starting out an adventure with the relatively normal premise of a guy trying to get his job back.
I like your style a lot! Those screenshots look very promising and I'm curious to learn more about the story.
Cool!
*Low res rulez*

Seconded! Good luck
Very interesting graphics. I like it!
This looks really nice.
Also, I hoped that bar would become part of a game :)
I really like this style.

I thought that too when I saw it :D
I love your art style though, it looks amazing. I'm interested to hear more about the story.
*seconds all of the above opinions*
WOW! My favorite kind of graphics! Looks awesome--get that Demo out pronto!! ;D
A small update: I'm working on the game slowly but steadily. I still hope to get a playable demo out soon enough.
A new screenshot for show:

Big thanks to everyone for your support! :)
Smart backgrounds, man. All the best bringing this to fruition :D
Looking really good. Keep it up!
Loving the artwork, I really like the 'simple' graphix..
Bringing this up to say that after several weeks of not working on the game, I'm at it again. The overall progress is still about 1/3 though...
I would like to say that I'm releasing the game this summer, but I highly doubt it :P Anyway, all your comments motivate me to do it! :)
Just to make this post more meaningful, a screenshot I haven't yet posted here:

Wow.... that screenshot makes me feel around my heart....
Beautiful screenshot gameboy, hope to play this this summer somewhere this year ;)
So charming! Love the camper, hippie, guitar and blue cup!!
Ohhhh â€" no! :o
Until now, it was promising for me, but now you catched me with this nice picture!
I drove around in such a camper “some†(http://i438.photobucket.com/albums/qq106/Selina_catz/emoticons/eusa_liar.gif) years ago (... sweet memories, simple life in my old, orange colored bus with self crochet seatcovers came along with wonderful holidays, meeting interesting people ... )
So now there goes nothing else for you from now on - gimme , gimme , gimme (http://www.smilies.4-user.de/include/Optimismus/smilie_op_013.gif)
Like the plot, and the art style is awesome! Very much looking forward to playing this. I imagine it to be like one of those cozy, philosophical movies about just life in general. Except, well, it's a game. ;D
Best of luck with this!
I actually love the style you're using here. Especially how it all meshes. (The angle for the van is dynamic!)
Also noticed the little blue mug in the grass. :P
I shall be looking forward to this as well!
Beautiful, really beautiful! :o
Definitely looking forward to this. :)
I like your art style.
looking forward to play the game!
Hello! Just bumping this up to let you know that the project most definitely is not dead. I haven't been very active for couple of months but last week I got things rolling again and ended up making a big portion of the game. It's been a productive few days, I progressed the story, drew bg's and characters and even wrote some tunes.
I'm almost at that point where I originally planned to release a demo, but I have abandoned the idea of making a demo at all, because... I don't want the demo to just be a piece of the game, because that would give away too much. Besides, it's not that long game anyway. I'm a slow developer.
Can't have a threadbump without a screenshot:

Demo or no demo, still looks and sounds promising! :)
Amazing backgrounds!! :D Very cool, man!
Really nice looking game(from screenshots). I am looking forward to play it when it comes out. :)
I love how you draw cars (and vans) in low res! :D
Thanks people! I'll do my best to finish it this autumn/winter/next year. And I love drawing vehicles! :D
MUST PLAY THIS :=
Amazing looking game. I am looking forward to it :)
Just out of curiosity, do you do the art free-hand? Pixel art? Or do you use some more complicated method?
-Bill
Thanks! I first draw the line art, then add colour, then go in deeper and add shading, small details etc. I guess it can be called pixelart.
Another nice screen!
I am still eagerly waiting for this promising game!

Keep on the good work!
Interesting story. I'm looking forward to seeing how the player can help him get his job back? Also loving the artwork ;D
