Title: Sibylla - new demo available
Post by: Andail on Thu 21/11/2002 17:52:22
Update 9/8/03 - Allright, the Sibylla demo is now updated, featuring the new interface, music (thank you chrille) and more animations, as well as some bugs fixed. I also skipped the intro, since it was pretty lengthy without the load-function.

I would also like to take the opportunity to advertise for a second artist, who would deal with touching up and/or creating new backgrounds and characters.

Boy, I'll have to hire a secretary to file all the games coming out that I wish to play!

Ha ha hah Trapezoid!...

And Andail I sense a blockbuster coming!!!! Run, Sibylla, run!
Will the backgrounds be animated? Will there be flying cars? Do the Thule still exist in the future? Is it canned and sold in distributors? What is this religious minority group - can it be catholicism? Is the Pope in danger? Will Sibylla finally take off the Roger Uniform? So many questions! I cannot wait.

The city scape is my fav and your female character looks very nice. The detail of her face (straight on) is great. Hurry up man!

Hate to be the bad guy, but when she runs her legs merge because of the whiteness. A little gray or dirty white outline there would be gr8kthx?   :P

Love it. I haven't found out how to finish it yet, but I hope you won't kill me for reporting bugs:

Spoiler

The empty memosphere inventory item isn't deleted when you use it, so you end up having both the empty and the full.

Also, the walk animation gets messed up if you go into gun mode and leave it by right clicking instead of clicking the gun button again.

And you can use the computer before activating it.

Excellent work :D two things: 1. it needs some ambient noise when you're in the room, and 2. the guy's talking animation is drawn 1 pixel to the side of the normal view. But apart from that, it's looking great.

Great! I love the interface, the advanced options(nightvision and weapon mode), though they are not implemented in the demo. Great work!

Andail, this totally rocks!

The only little thing I noticed was when Sibylla is talking next to the GUI, the GUI (closed of course) covers the text making it hard to read...

Is the Pope in danger?

That guy is never in danger! When I was 5 y.o. I remember my grandmother telling that the Pope was old and he was close to die... 19 years after he´s still here (and my grandmom not)... I suppose that the Vatican has some kind of tecnology to keep him alive. Maybe there are 5 or 6 of him.

BTW... I was very interested in Sybilla when I saw some of the stuff in Mittens... Downloading!

Allright, just wanted to say that after an extremely long period of no activity whatsoever, I've decided to pick up sibylla again. I won't even mention a new release-date (finally I adhere to Rodekill's rule about release-dates and the big no-no....back in the day when I was productive and sparkling with enthusiasm, release-dates was a piece of cake for me), but I guess around one year from now.

Here's a new screenshot to celebrate with:

Cheers!
