Continuing my bizarre love of creating anything but adventure games with AGS, I present my latest project - Snow Problem!
This is a puzzle game in which you have to gather snow. Easy you may think, but each level will present obstacles for you to carefully steer your snow around with well placed thingamabobs. The game will feature 100 levels with generally increasing difficulty as you progress, and a built-in level editor to create up to 100 more.
A 12-level demo is available on Itch (https://captaind.itch.io/snow-problem)

Looking forward to trying out the demo.
I clicked on this message, believing it to be a tech question about snow animation. :-D
Sounds like a cool idea! Looking forward to the demo.
Seem great. Can't wait Captain ;-D
That looks really weird... or original... or??? ;-D
Anyway, I'm really curious about this one (nod)
Thanks guys. Should be able to get the demo released within the next few days, possibly even tonight.
I'm pretty curious to see how this game looks in motion and how it plays!

Well, be curious no more my friend! I have released the demo so you can see it in action. The demo contains the first 10 levels of the planned 100 levels from the full game. I have deliberately included one level that you may find a little tricky to beat (at least, I hope you don't beat every level first time without any effort!!)

One potential issue I am concerned about is whether older machines might experience excessive slowdown so if you experience this please let me know (and what hardware you're using).
Apologies to anyone who tried this earlier and got an error message, pathname trouble! Sorted now.

This looks like a lot of fun. Will there be a level editor mode?

If there's interest in a level editor I can certainly make it accessible. I just don't know how much more work I want to do on it for it to be truly user-friendly as it works fine for what I want! :-D I also need to think about the easiest way to make new levels / level packs playable in the main game.
I've been optimising the code and changing a few things so I may well release a Demo v2 soon. Might get a couple of people who've already tested the game to try out the level editor and give me some feedback on how easy it is to use.
The V2 demo is now available:

This is fun, but I also think I found a bug.
Spoiler
Sometimes when I use right click to delete I create an all consuming punctiform blackhole that just takes in all snow...

Yeah I can't quite figure out why that's happening yet, since delete is not something you're likely to use very often I have considered taking away that function completely, but it does allow for different strategies and level design strategies so I'd rather keep it. I can't find a consistent reason as to why it's happening; the only solution I think will definitely work is going to slow the game down. So... still thinking about it! Thanks for playing. ;-D

Awesome! Btw you should edit your opening post to include this link. I almost navigated away without realising the demo is out.
@eri0o - I've fixed that issue, just pondering whether to roll out a V3 demo or now.
@milkanannan - if I do release a third and final version of the demo, I'll definitely update the first post! ;-D Thanks.
Version 3 of the demo is now available! The issue mentioned by eriOo has been fixed, and the game has several QOL improvements.
Also I will be releasing the game on Steam, store page coming soon.

It’s a really cool/original concept. Good luck with the Steam release!
Steam store page now active if anyone wants to wishlist the game, just waiting for the demo to be approved there too:

Hey! Great to see you're still checking out the old boards from time to time. Terrible puns about my games are always appreciated :-D
A sneak peak at some of the later levels:

I've binge-played all demo levels at once after the Steam demo went live and man, that was great! It truly reminds me of shareware puzzle games I loved as a kid - figuring out the most optimal route for drawing shapes using as little power as possible is so much fun (you should definitely think about an additional Challenge mode in the full version! ;-D)
A Challenge Mode?! Given how people have already said the game is very tough on later levels?!!!?
Challenge Mode = playing with the shortest pre-fall timer ;-D
Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed the demo.
The Itch version of the game is now available:

The Steam version is planned for release on 7th October 2022. You will also be able to claim a Steam key, once released, via Itch if you purchase there.
I really enjoyed the demo. When's the Story Mode DLC coming? :-D
Now released on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/2097090/Snow_Problem/)!! ;-D ;-D
Congrats on the Steam release! I really enjoyed the game.
