Project -X-: The Curse of Khepri

The Story:

You step in the shoes of Markus Stevens, a young man residing in the remote town of Sacrum, Illinois. Awakening one day in the middle of a desolate alleyway with no recollection of his past, he embarks on a quest to discover his past and reveal the dark secrets that reside within the town. He finds the town to be near deserted, encountering less and less of the living population. Pursued by an evil cult who seem to know more about him than he does, and fighting off strange creatures out for his blood, he will soon discover who he really is, and what  he has to do with the mysterious Project -X-.

This reminds me of Pleurghburg, which is not a bad thing, because that game is excellent. The graphics are very nice, way better than what I can do! Keep up the good work!

BTW: Are you new here? If so, welcome to the forums!

DarkManiac

Yes I am new to the forums. Thank you for the nice words! The graphics are all done by my good friend who has made some great games using RPG Maker 2000 (Super Turbo Power Man, Bug Battle, Bird Quest, etc). He's a great artist and I'm priviledged to have him working on this game with me.

I absolutely LOVE your expected completion date.  Bravo!

The plot isn't all that original, however, it's a proven plot and is interesting none-the-less.

[ moderator ] I also can tell that you read the forum rules ... I commend you. [ /moderator ]

It looks good - the graphics are definitely very good. The release date is a bit of a shame though! None the less - best of luck - hopefully you'll have a demo in the near future :)

Darkvein

That looks really cool. I love the picture of the dead guy. I can't wait to get my paws on this game! Hurry up, I dont want to wait like 3 years!

This is looking pretty nice, graphics look good but a few of your percentages are a bit on the low side...

Scripting, Graphics, Sound and Music...

It's great that you have your story nearly complete but as far as I'm concerned I'll probably be dead by the time you release the game...

From what I can see though well done, looks like you actually are looking out to complete this game.
Love x

Music is going to be 100% original from a friend of mine who just graduated University taking composition as  a major. He lives in another province than me right now so it will be a while before I get him to work on some of the pieces.

I'm also working full time and will be returning to University in the fall so I'm very busy and this is more of a hobby than anything, if I had all the time in the world to work on it I would surely be done much sooner than my expected release date. I do not think it will take that long, but I don't want to say 'Released end of this year!' only to have it 'pushed back' over and over. I'd rather state a far away release date and hope I can finish it sooner.

I've got the majority of the entire game in my head/written down, but implementing it into the game takes time and I've got people working on the graphics and the music for me who are both busy with school/work/life as well. But I do plan to release a demo once I finish the first chapter (of which I plan to have 10).

Thanks for the kind words so far, though!
