IF you kept it in the style of the second two images then i'd certainly play the game! But that first image puts me off somewhat.

It looks interesting. I agree with Chicky for the most part, I prefer the style in the latter screenshots. Also, (I know, I shouldn't C&C) wouldn't it be better to say something like:

HUNGER
EXHAUSTION
FEAR

Then we have 3 nouns, not 2 adjectives and a noun ^_^ Sorry, I'm an English teacher.

Hmm, I wonder how the house pics are made. Colored pencils?

I would change the GUI and switches. They're cut from a guitar!

i think FATIGUE would work better than EXHAUSTION

update-the house was made using colouring pencils but It is only the tester house to make sure everything works correctly before investing my time in a better house.

Update-
The games progress is rapidly moving along.
Already my weapon system is working and the zombie ai is nearly encoded.

id recommend you use less photos for bgs because to be honest, they make it look a bit sloppy.

I disagree. I think the usage of photos are part of the style and add a lot to it.

Good luck with your game, timlump! I dig the unique style of this one. And the game has an interesting concept. :)

Decals after a particular battle in the house.

All decals occur whenever you shoot even when not in battle so be careful or you'll destroy the house.

I'm really curious how the whole game will look like.

Very original style!

I really like the mish mash of photos/illustrations in various perspectives. One quick crit- it would be great if you slightly darkened the ground textures and lowered their contrast. Right now they are a little busy and fight for the viewer's focus.

I agree that the title screen seems a little out of place. You might want to try and find a photo instead. Try Gettyimages.

update-I will be taking about a 30 day break from the game since I have to complete my intermediate certificate but I will be back and probably will still be posting during that time just no work will be done on survival during that time since i am a study freak- i once did 100 hours of study in a week.

also after completing the game and releasing it I may begin work on a multiplayer version of survival using the tcp/ip plugin.

In about 2 months this game should be finished and then or before hand i will probably begin play testing,
And if enough interest is shown I may recruit members of the forum to do so.
If you want to be short listed for this say now but remember it might not be given out for play testing at all.

update- Check this, the game now has a fully working gun system and thanks to the flashlight plugin and some scripting has realtime day time effects,
so say you play at 12 am it will be dark in the game so you have an advantage playing between 7 and 10 but you can see very little between 10 and 6.

You must love zombies!  ;D

I do too! Nice graphics so far. I like the new title screen. Good luck!

Corey

p.s.- the best things in the world are robots, pirates, monkeys, ninjas, and z0mb135!!!!

I don't understand the teaser. If anything, it told me nothing about Survival, and told me everything about Zombie Nation (that is a totally different game right?) Is it supposed to tell me that everything that was "revolutionary" in Zombie Nation is going to be featured in Survival?

it was supposed to be a funny comparison because if you ever played zombie nation it was shit why do you think i dont list it in my made games even though its floating around the forum
