Title: System Up
Post by: Dualnames on Mon 30/04/2007 21:51:20
Ok, this is an idea I had while I was taking a lesson at my university. We were talking about ways to count things and the teacher told us that the decimal system is used worldwide but there is another numberical system ,the ones that computers use. The one with ones and zeros. Also known as Two-Tier System.

This is not a game. It's a program. So I'm straightening this out. The purpose of the program is to instantly give you a number of the decimal system to it's form at the two-tier system. I don't know if this program will end up being useful but you'll judge that.

Game Progress:
Music 100%
Story 0%(there is no story)
Art 100%
Script 25%

*=Note about the screenshots: The actual program screenshots are less messy and so just take an idea with those images.

""The one with ones and zeros. Also known as Two-Tier System.""

uhh. you mean binary?

Uuuuhhhhh... you know you can do this with Windows Calculator, right?  :P

Although it seems like a neat little experiment into writing non-gamey things in AGS.

Experimenting is always good. This would probably be useful only for maybe some coders, but true coders count in binary and hex as fluently as in decimals ;)
But it's like they say: there are 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Well, as I said it's just an idea. But I think no one's ever done it in AGS before.
