Well..
I dont have a name for it yet.. I'm thinking about naming it Gochi but i'm not sure.
You tell me what you think ok?
It will be a game where you have to take care of a little fella from birth to death. And this one could live for a very long time if you treat him right.
There will be different "gochis" to choose from in the beginning. Both male an female. (but i will call it "him" in this post) Their personality and a lot of other things will be a result of what you do with him.
Even though you choose a certain gochi, you wont be sure of what he/she is like, because there will be some dices that randomly choose a big part of the statistics. (you wont see the dices though)
Just be fore you get him, you'll get to add some points to all of this so you do get to decide something in this.
Here's a small beta baby to chew on.

Uh oh! I'm sorry to leave an unfinished post, but i have to go now!
I'll finish this later.
Please come with suggestions or anything.
Thank you all.
sounds good. I like the non-linear..ness of it....
Wow... I remember Tamagochis!!!
Nifty looking game, btw.
Does its appearance change depending on how well you feed/nurture it?
only if you overdo it..
Syn, I really really like it alot!! Very nice concept!
More awesomeness! I can't wait. ._. Its so cute. :D
Great Idea! I think that it wouldnt be much fun AGS wise. I think it would be more fun to have an online type, where you could chat with other agsers/players. It is still a great idea though! Maybe you could add an AC (Armor class) to the stats? See if they get hurt falling or whatever, doesnt have to be battle... Though battle would be fun :)
yeah.. , AC would be good.. more?
fantastic!!!(can't wait)
great idea, and I hope it will be a great game.
I'll do so you can export and import gochis too.
yeah, you could do the online version, so that would be the first AGS mmorpg :). I mean that would be cool, but i dont think you could take that much pressure(or you could, i dont know)...
Anyway, nice :)
how would i do that?
perhaps this page, using text files to read from and thus changing the game.

I really like this idea!
I thought about something like this when I first started thinking about making a pbem game, but it would include things more like pokemon, where you raise your creatures and then let them fight other people's creatures. However I abandoned that idea before even trying it out and made the strategy game instead.
If you save all stats to a file, you can have one program to raise your creatures and another for the fights. This way you can implement a lot of other types of games using the same creatures without having to update your original game all the time.
Another thing: Will you, like the tamagotchi, take real time in accordance? I mean, if you don't care about your creatures every day, will they in the end die?
For this you could also use the File I/O and spyros ol' time script.
I think i'll do faster time in the game. You can skip time if you want to.
The game will continue where you quit.
It'd be cool if you managed to be able to play over the internet, with other people, but i think that may be too advanced.....
yeah, i think it was a-v-o's tcp/ip plugin, right?
