Hi all,
The other day i was looking for Monkey Island Sprites, when i stumbled upon a very interesting fact.
The secret of monkey island has never been revealed!
The thing is is the original developer Ron Gilbert did not make monkey island 3 or 4, and was not his story that carried on so a lot of things in number 2 did not add up.

Story:
Guybrush finds out the secret of monkey island.

Updates:
- Fixed mom talking sprites
- Fixed Guybrush giving/pickingup/showing sprite (shows elaine e ticket)
- Can skip most text using ESC key
- Can skip Intro after the Monkey Island Title has appeared using ESC
- Characters now turn when talking (looks better)
- Fixed Spelling (what i could find, a lot of lower cased i's)
- Added some more music
- Changed the text colour to suite characters (If anyone knows a better text colour for chuckie please tell me and the numbers)
- Added some more rooms

Is it basically just a conversation the whole time, and you only can move in one scene?
I thought the dialogue was interesting, but rather long.. it just seemed like a trailer to me rather then a demo.

You should really post that comment in the critics loung (my other thread of this game is in there).
And no it's not a conversion of the whole game, but does use the same art, and some of the same music.
But it's the true ending of how monkey island should of ended (the secret).
By the way after that last scene, the player will get full control.

I would be a little bit careful about this.
I mean "the secret" of Monkey Island is one of the famous running gags of the whole adventure history.
I don't think, that this could be a good idea, to tell the people, what the real truth of Monkey Island is, because nobody, besides Ron Gilbert, knows it.
But I don't want to stop your working, it is really good so far.

That was in my old game, i used my old game as a template so it imported all that other stuff in, i was just messing around getting to know AGS.

Typically you'd post art in the Critics Lounge; backgrounds, sprites, animations, etc.
You post the demo in here to get some feedback on it. Not C&C about the way it looks, but how it plays.

Intriguing none the less.
I may ave to stop this project because apparently lucas arts have sued individuals for making games using the same art, names, music, ect..
I'll let you know, but what about other AGS products like Indy and the Last Crusade 2, have they gotton in any trouble yet?
As far as I know, the only two fan projects to get sued were "Fate of Monkey Island 2" and "Legends of LeChuck". Interestingly, Fate of Monkey Island 1 was not given a Cease and Decist order.
Both these games were produced and talking about on a fangames board, made the PC Gamer mags, at the time they got a full double spread.
Scenario is interesting. Graphics are awesome. Did you draw them yourself? They are almost like Monkey island 2
