A little over a year ago I began work on a Monkey Island 5 fan-fiction story. Well, recently I decided to make it into a game. I finally have the intro worked out:
[intro]
Fade in...
Guybrush and LeChuck are in the middle of a round of insult swordfighting when you gain control. If you choose the correct comeback, you will win the fight. At this point, you will drop swords, and LeChuck will punch you in the face. Else, should you get the comeback wrong, LeChuck will win, and you will take a step back. Straight off the cliff. After a loud crashing sound, Elaine rushes to the cliff side and yells "Guybrush!"
Fade out...
Fade in...
Guybrush is standing in the dry river bed on Monkey Island.
-"Where am I? And why does my head hurt?"

I did forget to mention, after LeChuck punches you, then you wake up in the riverbed. So yeah, it's a no win situation.

Great new plot, but how are you going to tie it in with the end of EMI?
Oh... I forgot that too. After the title screen, the whole game is a flashback leading up to the intro...
And well, I don't have any screens yet, well, most of them will be ripped from the first two Monkey Island games (The Secret and LeChuck's Revenge), but there will be some original artwork by Greg Wilkins. Hopefully. However, I do have some sprites:

They're not original sprites, but... Oh, and I'm also using Proskrito's MI2 Template.
EDIT: For the most recent information, you can visit the official thread at Fangames.co.uk (http://www.fangames.co.uk/forum)

For some reason, I can't get the quotes to work. I have the open quote tag, the quote, and the close quote tag. For some reason an open quote tag keeps showing up right before the close quote tag. I don't know what the crap is wrong with this computer...
For the hundredth time, I have deleted the quote. It will probably re-appear.
a wee crit: it's Tyrant not Tyrrant
other than that cool beans... i love monkey island
Seems a bit interesting but I can't see your sprites (broken link?). This is the third MI-fangame posted here in a couple of months.
Oh. Only one are. Oops... haha. As for the broken links, I don't know what to tell you. I'll try setting up a page on my site for each of these games and linking you there I guess.
EDIT: Ok, I'm doing a major overhaul on my site, getting rid of old files, and re-organizing the ones that are there, so just bear with me. Once I get my site overhaul done, I will change the links for the pics, AND provide a link to the webpage for this game. :) It should be up today or tomorrow.
Ok, after a major overhaul of my website, I got it re-organized, and now I have a page with all the information regarding this game:
http://www.meleepta.us.tf/tmi.html
Well, it sure is a nice idea to do a mi-fangame!
Some crit though:

So what're you planning to do yourself then? ;)
Well, I have a storyline. And I'm actually working on making a MI1/Loom GUI (Based around those of Proskrito and Spyros) that I may use. I'd do the scripting myself, just using theirs as a guide. And I made those sprites, it's just that they are "painted" or edited sprites of the Guybrush from SOMI. Oh yes, and my website is on the fritz, so... Once it gets back to working correctly I think that I will change the story page on my webpage for this game to the new fan-fic I was working on based around this intro. Ok. That's all.

Well, not sure about that, but it's not just the images. I mean that when I go to my site, every page, every image, everything, just appears as a blank page.
