Title: A Better Paint Program
Post by: on Mon 19/04/2004 12:22:15
I have the basic Microsoft paint program on my computer. All of my levels look boxy. When I see games like 5 Days A Stranger I know that is not what they use. So what do you guys use?

This'll probably be moved, I don't think it belongs in here ;)

I use PhotoShop CS.

You can achieve great graphics using Paint.  It just requires a LOT of time and effort (and talent).

Paint can be brilliant. See here:

That's just one of many people that can use Paint to do wonderful things, which brings me to my next point.

Just because you get Gimp or Photoshop doesn't mean that you'll be uber-awesome.  It takes talent and practice, practice, practice.  Just don't go out and spend 800 dollars on a paint program, and then not use it. Paint can be just fine.

Why not register here, doddle up some drawings, and post them in the critics lounge for some help on becoming a better artist. That's why we volunteer our time here to do.
