Title: ags and screen projection
Post by: Slasher on Sun 14/08/2016 11:48:39
Hi

i'm wondering if ags games fare well when used in projection onto a large screen via projector like the screen shows used in schools.

I think it would depend on the resolution of the game and the quality of the equipment used. I don't suppose AGS has anything to do with it  :-\

This came up on a search

The most common classroom projectors currently being installed in classrooms have XGA or WXGA resolution, and brightness of 2500 to 4000 lumens. - See more at: http://www.projectorreviews.com/projector-categories/classroom-projectors/#sthash.CdVzQjey.dpuf

I am thinking of making a series of safety/educational shows for the classroom.

I've done this and it worked fine. I used a 1920x1080 game, but ended up running at 1280x720 and it looked good and ran smoothly. Although the screen I used wasn't huge. To make things more slick for the audience, I used AutoHotKey to launch the game and switch between AGS and other applications (almost) seamlessly.
