I have been trying to download ags for my linux system , I already have it on my Windows box
just the link on this website is dead
Is there any other way i can download it , as i really want to write a good game for us ubuntu os users.
There seems to be no way of doing it throught ubuntu software centre . I f there was it would be fantastic
what i have read is that they just have this kind of plug-in wherein you can play your game created from windows or mac to a linux system...but i am not so sure if they have an installer for linux... I think they are currently developing engine for linux.
...why open this thread instead of posting in the linux stickie (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=37968.0)?
Also, yes, building a game and running it are two different things.
Why not make the game first, see how far you get, then care about running it on linux?
I want to build the game on my linux os box.
All i want to know is is there a an ags version for the likes of ubuntu etc???????
Or shall i download the window package and use wine to run it ?
Afaik, only the engine was ported to linux. So to create a game / use AGSEdit, you have to resort to wine, yes.
