Post by: on Mon 11/12/2006 19:30:32
??? ??? ??? I am making a game that requires the player to enter their own name as the character name at the begining of the game. I dont know much more than the basics of ags and i really need an answer asap because this game is part of a competition at my college. Can it be done, and how. i will need it explaining in detail because i am a beginner.

thanks all ;)

That's in  the BFAQ (http://americangirlscouts.org/agswiki/Graphics%2C_Characters%2C_Text_%26_Rooms#Naming_your_character_and_using_that_name_throughout_the_game).
If you need more detail, you'll need to provide more detail - when you want the player to input the name, if you want to use your own GUI rather than an InputBox, etc.
