Title: Can acwin.exe support a game's debug modes?
Post by: lwc on Mon 13/04/2020 19:18:27
Remember the Quest for Glory II remake (https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/?topic=35410.0)?
It wasn't updated since 2011 (in which they released their v2) and thus will remain forever on AGS v3.2.
But I can just run it using the latest acwin.exe without a scratch.
The only issue is - this game has 2 debug modes, which rely on the existence of 2 files (here is (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0Bz8PB20oNMfrcG53Tktjci05LVk) the only source online with them):
...But neither F10 nor F4 do anything at all - despite hearing the sounds - when run through acwin.exe and I'd like to ask why?
I don't want being stuck on a decade old AGS version just because of these debug modes and it do present nice options to try.
AGD's forums are abandoned, so I ask here - is there something acwin.exe can do to support this?
