audio riddles with mouseover sounds?

hey folks,

i'm rather new in this biz and am not sure wether to be proud or ashamed to post my 1st thread. anyway, its nice to take part here and i hope you might be able to help me...

i want to create a game in which you can find objects or hotspots not by their looks, but by the sounds you can hear when you move your mouse over them. (the idea is actually to simulate blindness)
i looked up all the mouseover hotspot topics and tried to vary all the given solution but didn't succeed. i actually wonder, if the "function repeatedly_execute" is also possible in room scripts? well,that's just a side-question, i would rather prefer some handy piece of script...

i hope i could give you an imagination of my problem, thanks in advance

i started looking for a way to have the effect with objects, but now as i think about it: there is actually no reason to use objects at all, as i do not use any graphics (since it's an auditive quest) hotspots will do the trick.
