OK. New problem. I imported a red sprite from an old AGI game and AGS is acting like the red in the sprite is transparent. Is this normal? If not, what's going on? How do I fix it?

Sam.

This is an easy one. When you import a sprite to AGS, it gives you some options as to which colour you want to be transparent. This is so that your characters are not just rectangles. The default transparency colour is whatever colour is in the top left pixel of your sprite. On the import dialogue, a drop down box is available, the best soloution i find i to change that to "palette index 0". or change the top left pixel of your sprite to purple, as this seems to be the universal colour for transparent.
Bye bye thankyou I love you.

Thanks, Zooty. As soon as I added the universal transparent color, things started working properly. :)

Yes, I'm quite surprised that this isn't in the BFAQ, hopefully if Rich gets time we can. It's a fairly common question.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.
