Big Black Area

So I just downloaded AGS and read the tourtorial, after running a test I noticed only about 2 inches of the game was shown on top everything underneath it was all black, this also happend with a game I downloaded from this site. Any suggestions?

That means your monitor had never been set to such a resolution before, just mess with its settings (usually knobs/buttons, etc. in front of the monitor) to set up the screen correctly.
