hello guys

i work with ags version 2.72 and i import 2 characters from ags 3.2.1 when i select them as a player character there is no problem and they work correctly, but when i set them to start from difrent room and then run the game there is nothing in the room that i set to character start from!!! ??? ???

hedgefield

So let me get this straight, the player starts in room A, and character 2 starts in room B, but when the player goes to room B, character 2 is not there? Strange. Did you check that his coordinates are inside the viewport and that each character has been assigned a view? What happens if they both start in the same room?
And on a side note, why would you downgrade from 3.2.1 to 2.7.2?

there is a defult character (ego) in ags 2.7 and ego work correctly In both cases(when i set it as a player character or as a character in the game),but that one i imported from ags 3.2.1 just work when i set it as a player character. for example when i set ego(defult character) to start in room1(x,y) and bman( imported character) as a player character to start in room 1 or from difrent rom every thing work correctly. but when i replace them(ego for player character) and run the game ego work correctly but "bman" dosen't exist in the room!!!i change coordinates for Hundred times but nothing  changed!i import them because i dont want make new character, please help me!

Hi

As hedgefield said, why not use 3.2.1.. its better.. anyhow... below is for 3.2.1

whenever I import characters i always check in its events pane what room i would like it to start in and adjust if required. Some imported characters specify rooms other than 1... watch out for this.

It seems bman is giving the problem.

If you have selected cEgo as your main character and want cbman to start in say room 2 make sure you adjust its event pane so it starts in room 2 and not 1.

If you have chosen cbman as main character then again check its room start in its events panel..

You usually begin char name with a c.. but not ness as long as char script name and commands for it are the same.

Check in room events panel that show player character is set to true.

perhaps you should show us your code so people here can have a look, it may help.

good luck
