Title: Character sizes
Post by: ty3194 on Mon 03/11/2008 22:48:12
Okay I made several different rooms with doors too small for the characters =/ and I am using the basic view (white and pink roger) as my characters. I want to know if there is some way I can edit the basic character view so I can make them smaller and possibly even change the colors of the frames for different characters with Paint. If not i will have to make whole new views, I'm not that skilled and I'm too lazy :P. Please help, thanks.

I don't know if there's a way to get the rogerframes, but you could just make screenshots of the views, seperate the sprites and paint them over..

EDIT: Ah, and of course you can use the character scaling feature of the walkable area and make the size to 60% or whatever you'll need. But this won't look to good..

Right click a sprite and choose either "Edit in default image editor", "Copy sprite to clipboard", or "Export sprite to file...". Then edit them in whatever paint program (please don't ask which one to use, there is a thread already for that), and then re-import them over the previous Roger sprites.

D'oh! Stupid me!

I appearantly spent too much time away from the editor.

Even quicker, just select all the images you want in the sprite editor and then left-click, "Export all sprites in folder". This will give you all the "rogerframes", which can then be edited.

You can also use room scaling on your walkable masks so that you change the size of your sprites if you don't need to make it smaller in mb size. I think that would be the easiest way for you...
