Yo, guys.
I've run into a problem I have no idea how to beat. Everything has worked so far with no problems, until I added a speech view to my main character cHero. As you can see on the screens, as soon as the character starts talking, the background goes missing (or black), he moves to the left, and the speech text shows up somewhere in the middle with a weird overlay. When he finishes talking, everything goes back to normal. When I set his speech view back to 0, everything is fine - except for him not talking visually.
What am I doing wrong, guys?
Notes:
- Yes, speech animations are identical for all four directions for now.
- Game resolution: 1024 à â€" 768.
- This particular room is 1112 à â€" 768.

Go into General Settings. What speech style do you have the game set to?
WholeScreen
Set to something else, like Lucas Arts. Also, experiment, to find out what fits you best.
"WholeScreen" means it will be displayed on black screen.
Thank you. I didn't even try to fiddle with that setting, as it worked fine when cHero had no speech view assigned. Works now.
