Seems I can't get the volume up so I can hear it . Could it be my computer .
I'm trying to play a mp3 as background music .
i used the play music box and then the drop download list to loadest ..

Just a bump .. Anyone know why ?

Could be the way your soundcard/speakers are set up. I was having a problem with a (midi) background sound drowning out other sound effects, until I realised Winamp had played around with my global sound levels. Have you checked the settings on Windows 'Volume Control'? (I'm assuming you're using Windows, but if not I imagine there'll be a similar thing in whatever you are using)

Otherwise - how big is the mp3 file? Could you upload it, and a sample room, so we can see if it happens to anyone else?
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Yes let me do that so you can yesy it . I'm on windows XP and the music plays fine and load with anything I have in windows to play tunes , just in ASG it plays low .

Sounds fine to me. A little short & repetative, but I'm kind of assuming that's because this is just a test? It does get a little quieter when it goes from the Intro screen to the first room but, again, I assume that's intentional.

Not very helpfull, I know, but I can only say, it must be you and your PC. On the plus side, at least some people will be able to hear the game! Did you try playing with the 'Volume Control' settings? (Go through Control Panel, or the little grey speaker thing on the task bar, if you didn't know.) Different programs use different settings - like I said in my last post, I found that 'Boomingly Loud' in Winamp came out as 'Pathetic Squeek' in some things.

Slightly off-topic:
The 'Music Volume' slider doesn't seem to do a great deal for me - when it's set to 0 it's only slightly quieter than at 100, but the 'Sound FX' slider mutes it completely. Maybe you need to change which Set...Volume command they affect? (i.e. SetMusicVolume, SetSoundVolume, SetDigitalMasterVolume, SetMusicMasterVolume, and there's probably others I've missed.)
I know what you're thinking ... Don't think that.

Yes, SetMusicMasterVolume doesn't turn the volume all the way down: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/tracker.php?action=detail&id=475
