Hi! I cant figure it out. I am setting 1024 x 768 resollution, making background in paint(1024 x 768) and importing to ags. When i running game character doesnt move. When i am setting 320 x 200 resolution character is moving. How to solve it?
I also cant make walkable areas. There is no blue points when i using it.

Windows Xp, Ags 3.1.2.82.

Is there any chance you made the walkable areas while the graphics were set to 320x200, then you set the graphics to 1024x768 (therefor making the walkable areas incorrect--I believe).  You need to set the resolution first, upload the background, then set the walkable areas.

If all else fails: Check out Densming's walkable areas youtube video tutorial.

The problem is...I am setting resolution 1024 x 768, then importing background, and i cant make walkable areas, and character doesnt move.

What do you mean, "there is no blue points"?

1. What exactly are you doing (in trying to create the walkable areas)?
2. What exactly is taking place?

Make sure that when you are painting a walkable area:
1. Select a Walkable Area ID other than 0 from the list on the right of the screen (0 means non-walkable-area/delete-colour/whatever)
2. Select a drawing tool, like the line and freehand, etc. tools. By default, after you have chosen an area the "Select colour" tool is selected. This tool only picks up whatever walkable area it's pointing to on the room and since in a blank room there is no area painted, clicking on the background will only make the area turn 0.

Ok lets start again...I am setting resolution 1024 x 768 and importing background (bmp 1024 x 768). When i am choosing walkable areas i dont see blue area (I mean when i am setting resolution 320 x 200 and importing background in 320 x 200 all area is blue in walkable areas section).
When i am running game character doesnt move. BUT when i am running game in 320 x 200 with background 320 x 200 i can set walkable areas and character is moving.

What do you mean by you can't set walkable areas? The areas aren't just spontaneously created for you. If you're using an existing room (such as one included in a template) it would already have walkable areas defined. However if you're creating a new room (or changing the resolution of the game project) you must draw them yourself. Gilbot provided you with full detailed instructions on how to do this:

If you still can't figure it out, open the manual "ags-help.chm" go to the "Tutorial", "Starting off", "Tutorial Part 2 - Creating your first room" then go to the section on "Walkable areas."

I just tried it myself. It works fine, but Walkable Area 1 is yellow rather than blue for me. Maybe that's what's confusing you ?
