Hello all,

I got a question about AGS studio and I haven't quite been able to find it, so here it is.

Is it possible to make games with the look and feel of old-school AGI games (Police Quest 1, King's Quest 1-3, Gold Rush, etc)? I know that there's an AGI studio out there, but I want the games to be able to run on windows without the need for DosBox (among other reasons).

Thanks in advance.

Sure.
The lowest native resolution is 320x200.
AGS also has built-in parser support and even a module to control your character with the keyboard (though that's trivial to implement on your own).

You have to manually implement any AGI-specific effects like pixel transitions or the like but in theory AGS is perfectly capable of doing all that.

AGS can do anything. Anyone who says it can't is a drunken blithering idiot who's speaking a load of cross-eyed badger spit.

It even makes toast and improves your sex life.

I looked all through the manual, and nowhere can I find where to put the bread into my hard drive  >:(

As for the sex, YEP , it's true

You need the unreleased EasyBake module I wrote. :=

There's a plugin by scotch which makes the effect (well some of it), not sure if you're interested for it.

AGI Plugin
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)
