Problem with speech view

I'm trying to get two characters to speak to each other in a cut scene but every time I do it the screen goes black and it shows each specific character with scrambled words.

Can someone please help me, it would be much appreciated

Your script would be more helpful than these backgrounds..

You've probably got the wrong speech type set in your global settings.
