Title: display problem
Post by: on Sun 01/05/2005 04:40:17
Everytime I play/make a lo-res game with AGS I have a problem where the screen is not aligned correctly, so there's a big chunk of black dead space to the right side of the screen and an equal amount of playable area on the right side of the screen that you just can't see.

I'd be suprised if I was the only one whose experienced this problem cause I've played a lot of AGS games on different computers and pretty much always have this problem.

Is there a solution?

Thanks

Erm, this is a problem with your monitor. Just adjust the settings on your monitor, such as horitzontal/vertical resizing and shifting. There should be dials or an OSD (On Screen Display) for newer monitors.

Otherwise, play it in Windowed mode. :p

Ah, thanks. I'd figured it wasn't a problem with my monitor because it only did this in-game.

It's most possibly a monitor setting problem, when running an AGS game in full-screen, it's usually set to a resolution you aren't using normally for your desktop, of which settings might not be optimally set, just mess with the monitor's control.

Heh, read it terran! Because he said it's not the monitor's problem and I repeated it's most possibly the monitor's problem.
