I'm trying to start using the 9-verb type of game but the problem is that comes with a bunch scripts and an extra character programmed in. And I can't seem to earse the character or their scrpits without getting errors when I try to run the game as I'm getting errors about scripts I haven't found or have already deleted so I can't seem to test my game at all.

This is all because you are editing the script before understanding what it all actually means. Thus you are getting errors that you can't understand.

I posted a link to an excellent series of YouTube tutorials in one of your many other threads that will take you through how to make a game in AGS from start to finish.

I really suggest you watch these tutorials as they are much kinder on the psyche than wading through the AGS manual for days on end...

After watching the tutorials the manual is much more approachable and understandable I promise you...
