when people make bgs and characters using 3d editing software or level editors how to they export the 3d images into AGS?

If you don't know how to save the images in your 3D program ... That's not really AGS Technical.

are you asking to import any image as a background or just 3d-rendered images? if it's 3d ones i think you'll just select render in your 3d program and save the image, then import it as any other type of image!
