Problem with colour depth change - no existing palette

Hi everybody,

being a big adventure fan since my childhood, I am absolutely happy about AGS, so a big thanks
Anyway, I seem to have a problem with the basics already. I downloaded version 2.71 and tried to change the colour depth to 16-bit as described in the tutorial (of the previous version). Unfortunately there is no palette given and it seems I can only change one colour  I have searched the forums for "palette" and "colour" but could not find this problem mentioned at all - same with the FAQs.
I also tried to change the game resolution and the display settings of my laptop, but no luck. The same happened when I changed to 32-bit, there is no standard palette assigned to it.

I would really appreciate advice on this, as I am stuck. I am sorry if there is a solution somewhere already and I missed it.

You don't need a palette in 16 or 32-bit mode. There are about 6 million colours in 16-bit mode, if I recall correctly.

Thank you for the quick reply. Because there are so many colours I expected at least the basics to show up in a palette

16bit=2^16=65536, btw.

If you need a specific color (e.g. for character speech), just choose it with the RGB sliders, then use the displayed number.
