Title: first person perspective game?
Post by: on Sun 25/09/2005 08:39:21
hey i'm really interested in creating my own game (my favorite games are oldschool early 90s adventure games) and i was wondering if i would be able to create a game like Dare to Dream using AGS (any sort of game where it's like a first person perspective, one still room, etc [like myst except not as slick])Ã,  if anyone could answer that or point me in a useful direction i'd be very grateful.Ã,  thank you.

"Noobie Question" isn't an acceptable topic. Not that I should speak, since I'm famous for unacceptable topics as well, but....

To answer the question...
You can. You can quite easily. It means that you don't have to muck about using views and all the other animation stuff. If you want to make a first person adventure game, either go to http://www.adventuremaker.com/ or just go through the tutorial for AGS. As soon as you understand how hotspots work, you'll be very able to easily make such a game.
