First room doesnt appear to exist

I am already 4 rooms into my game, but now it says that my starting room doesnt appear to exist. What should i do? What do you know about this proble, why does it occur and how can i fix it. The only way it afect me is in the room editor none of the rooms show up and i cant go back and edit them but th egame runs fine. Please help me

Are there room files in your game directory? They might have somehow ended up in a different directory. Also, check to make sure your player character's initial room is set right. You could also try file > load room, and see if you can load them.

what do you have as your characters starting room? from the characters panel.

I guess you mean that you already understand all that stuff. Well, you might want to check to make sure you haven't made a stupid mistake somewhere, just it case. Have you done anything with the game files lately? I think that might have something to do with the problem.

Oh, by the way, what happens if you try to make a new room 1? Does it tell you you already have one, or does it let you make another one?

EDIT:

if this isn't your first game this could be a stupid question, but "player starts in room" section of that character, if you leave that blank or as 0, when you start in rrom1. then the first room won't appear to exist.

I took a look and it say that if you do this before you load the actaull game it says "the specified room intro.crm does not exist, continue anyway? and if you click yes the game crashes, is taht your problem?"
