I'm having real problems, i've read manuals so much my eyes are sore.

In my flic animantions, they work alright as gifs but when converted to flcs the background turns black and only things animated are shown, it looks terrible.

So either anyone at all with any knowleage of animation shop pro, may know what i have done wrong.

or will avi's work better? I don't understand how to put them in, what is the first intiger? is it the filename or something else?

This ain't AGS techinical, me thinks. And all I know of making flc with anim shop and using them with AGS is the conclusion I came upon earlier when trying to make credits with flc: you should make full screen animations, if possible, and check anim shop preferences of flc conversion.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

ok so maybe this is in thewrong place but it only looks wrong in ags not any other programme, my credits are full  screen animations. and am not sure why they only go funny on ags. thanks anyway

I asked chris this question too, since I couldn't get my intro to animate right either.  I can't remember what he said exactly, but it was basically that he couldn't fix it.  What I ended up doing was making a LARGE room, with the frames of the animation tiled sequentially along it.  I set up a while statement to jump from one Set Viewport to another.  If you aren't totally confused by this yet, you are smarter than me.  :)  It worked GREAT, and it didn't cause a screen flicker like the flc.

I'll try to get back to post code, since it really does work quite well.

well someone suggested to me to make the flick animation into a charactor then make it have it's own view then animate charactor, this confused me a bit, but i will give this and your idea hollister man a go.

By the way i tried using Avi and it failed miserably, worked great on the programme but filled up nearly 150mb of space! that was not good

The size of AVI's is dependent on the codec. A good codec which produces small files at high quality is "Div-X".
Goto http://www.divx.com  there you can get it.
