I use NeoPaint for the drawing of animations etc. I want to make a Flic showing the player falling to his death if he does something run, but NeoPaint doens't have an option to save as a .FLC or a .FLI And i cant any other program that does..Is there one I'm missing? or can I save it as a different type, like *all types and then just title it FLICx.FLI or FLICx.FLC ? If I can do that, then what part of my game dierectory do I save it to, compiled?
I don't know what NeoPaint is but for flics, you make views by making individual frames. If NeoPaint is for making movies then i don't know what you should do but if it makes pictures and that's what you did, upload them individually into the sprite manager and make them frames.
NeoPaint is a good painting program..well fairley good. It gets the job done, but thank for the flic thing, I'll do that.
I also use NeoPaint, but what the graphics you can do with it aren't very good for a game. There are a lot people with better images, so I think there must be a better one than it.
But NeoPaint is compared with other programs very easy to use, but there are needed special effects missing. Which version of NeoPaint do you use? I use an old DOS version.
FLIC is an animation file... no sprites, a flic animation the the game base dir... where the rooms are... find Animation Shop... It's shareware though, but you can use it to make flics
I use a newer version of neopaint its a windows ver. also. I didn't think it was sprites i'll look for animation shop..Thanks you guys.
I've only just started playing with AGS but so far I've had nice results with FLIC animations.
I scan in my own hand drawn art then clean them up and manipulate them with any old art program. I save them in GIF format then use Ulead GIF Animator Lite Edition to compile them into an animated GIF. Lastly, I use Fast Movie Processor v1.41 to convert them into FLIC format. It's sort of a roundabout way, I guess but it works for me.
Both programs are available on the net and are freeware for non-commerical applications.
Hope this helps. =)
