Title: Get Local Time?
Post by: Ozwalled on Thu 24/06/2004 06:41:13
Is there any way to check the computer's clock with AGS? I was thinking that it'd be neat to maybe have a game whose day and night times took place at local time, beased on your computer 's clock. Is this at all possible, or am I just fantisizing again?...

if it was possible it would have to be a damn long game.... and you'd have to make sure of certain things, for example maybe you cant advanced in the game at night because the shop you needed to goto is shut... what happens then? Cant play after 10?

Another link with some example scripting that might help too:

Thats actually not a bad idea... it'd keep people from staying up late playing your game and allow them to sleep to be energized to go to the shops the next day. :P

Thanks, people!

And as far as it having to be a very long game, I wa sthinking of the possibility of justthe opposite. A fairly short game that, if played at different times, might yield slightly different situations.

And I don't know how I missed that in the manual. Sorry.
