Title: GIMP drawing Help- alpha channels and purple background
Post by: funnyboy044 on Mon 30/07/2018 23:40:55
After drawing a character in GIMP, my character has a purple/pink background behind it.

My characters have a locked alpha channel on them and they look like they work, but the purple background remains on them no matter what I do and it is stressing me out. Please explain what the purple background means and what I can do to stop it and create characters with proper alpha channels.

Have you actually used any of the images after importing them? Because that color should mean areas that are transparent. I just checked and all of the images in my current game with transparent backgrounds show that color.

Like VampireWombat said, important question is whether this is drawn right in the game.
AGS Editor has a quirk that it does not draw sprites with alpha channel correctly in all windows.
