Post by: Red_Armadillo on Sat 14/02/2004 04:35:25
Hi,

This isn't about LucasArts type interface at all, I have an inventory box at the bottom but it cuts off most of the screen and I cant see the game...any advice?

If you want to keep the gui that way, just draw your bg's to fit. Unless I'm misunderstanding you....

so there is no way to create it under the bg?

Well, you could create a button that showed over a small portion of the bg, then when you click on it, the gui pops up. YOu might tyr and make it mostly transparent too....

Ok thanks for the advice, I'll try it out and put a reply up.

Also what resolution should I make a game to look cool?

it all depends on what you want.  when you start up a new game, it will ask you what resolution you want.

i know i work in 320 by 200, and then have the lucasarts style gui at the bottom

Thats question is based upon opinion really. I'd say, if you have to ask that question, you should go with 320x200.
