Title: How do I add a room to the 1st room. I am sorry it's just I don't know how?
Post by: wpowell on Fri 29/06/2007 19:31:48
I am trying to add a room to a game I am making because Darth says that I need two screenshots and so I need another room. So how do I add a new room after one I already created it's not mentioned in the tutorial for AGS. I am just asking. If I am posting this in the wrong forum tell me. This forum sounds like the right one for this question.

Gamer_V, please don't post just screenshots, it makes it harder on people searching for the same answer.

Text version: In the 'Room Editor' window, select the 'Room' menu for the menubar, and then 'New Room' (obviously enough).

This answer maybe doesn't belong in BTQ, but what the hell:
It may be that you're not really ready for a GiP thread if you need to add a room just to get the necessary screenshots.
If it's a one room game, the rules state two different screenshots, it doesn't specify that they have to be of different rooms - and if it's a one room game, there mightn't be enough delay between starting production and completing it to justify a GiP thread (you don't have to have one, after all). If it's a more than one room game but you haven't already started any of the others, you almost certainly don't have enough progress to start a GiP thread. That's the point of the GiP forum rules; to make sure that significant process has been made before a game is posted, not just the bare minimum to satisfy the rules.
